About Breast MRI
Breast MRI, with a dedicated breast coil and dedicated breast software, is a leading edge adjunct to breast imaging. This is useful for assessing breast tumors and for evaluating implants for the possibility of rupture.
What To Expect
You will lie face down on the table and a device called a coil will be placed around your chest. There will be loud noises but headphones will be given to dampen the noise. Depending on the indication, you may be given Gadolinium contrast dye.

There is no special preparation required for this exam.
